Heading to Ashtabula Ohio to do a shoot in the harbor district.
This will be one of the chapters in the book I'm working on with Kathleen Gallagher on Ashtabula

HDR Photography

Notes on HDR (high dynamic range) photography used to produce some of the photo's in our company calendar. HDR is a technique that allows a greater dynamic range of luminance between the photo's highlights and shadow detail.The photo contains three different exposures. One shot is "normal" another is over exposed by two f-stops and the final is under exposed by two f-stops. This is also known as bracketing. The images are then combined in Adobe Photoshop or a HDR program such as Photomatix. This wide dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the range of intensity found in real scenes.
